A special issue
of the Journal of Environmental Monitoring (Issue 8, August, 2006) features selected

South Carolina last November. This symposium, which attracted participants from Germany, Japan, Canada,
Sweden, France, Finland, South Africa, and the U.S., provided a forum for the exchange of ideas and

assurance, and the health of biota and ecosystems.
