Jerry Dallas, Research Chemist Education: Ph.D., 1977, Colorado State University Research Expertise and Interests: Dr. Jerry Dallas is a NIST employee working with Dr. Dan Bearden in the NMR Facility. He will be applying LC, MS and NMR to collaborate on metabolomics projects, natural products efforts and biophysics studies. Identification of fundamental molecular structure and dynamics is a primary focal point for in depth analysis of molecular biological events. Prior to joining NIST in May 2008, Jerry was a Visiting Researcher with Prof Gerd La Mar in the UC Davis Chemistry Department where he was applying multidimensional NMR to studies of Heme Oxygenase Biophysics. Previously Jerry was a Senior Scientist in the New Lead Discovery Research Group of Schering AG/ Berlex Biosciences for fifteen years. There Jerry supported small molecule research and development of new drug candidates primarily within the Medicinal Chemistry Department. Prior to that Jerry was a Senior Applications Scientist with the General Electric Medical Systems Business Group, NMR Instruments for nine years. There he managed the NMR Application group for high-resolution NMR in areas of applied-engineering, product development, marketing and sales support. Contact Information:
