Eric L. Kilpatrick , Biologist
Education:

Research Expertise and Interests:
Dr. Kilpatrick brings expertise in cardiovascular physiology and analysis of protein
post-translational modifications to the investigation of pathological biomarkers within the blood.
His current research interests focus on the changes which are induced in human serum albumin in
response to ischemic episodes.
Prior to employment with NIST in 2005, he was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmacology
at the Medical University of South Carolina. Additionally, he was employed as an engineer in the metal
forging industry a number of years before beginning his research career.
